ABOUT CABE
Carlos “Cabe” Tejeda is a border director who began his career in theater and playwriting, where he directed the plays “Living Among the Dead” and the romantic comedy “Like Salt and Pepper.”
Cabe transitioned to film after studying digital cinema and animation at NMSU (New Mexico State University). In 2017, he completed his bachelor’s thesis “Duck A Cola,” an animated short film that was presented at the Las Cruces International Film Festival, the El Paso Film Festival, and the Southern Arizona Independent Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Short Film.
Carlos Tejeda has dedicated much of his life to storytelling through various media. After graduating, he decided to focus on writing and directed short films such as “Missing” (2017), “Love Yourself” (2018), “Until Death Do Us Part” (2018), and had the opportunity to direct the pilot for the series “The Politically Correct Neighborhood of Mr. George” through Borderlands Media, where he worked for three years.
He currently resides in Ciudad Juárez, where he teaches Film Production at the Kinematica Academy and has given several acting and film courses at UACJ. In 2020, he directed the play “Leaks in the House,” which, with the support of the Theater Network in the Theatrical Circuit, was presented in the cities of Cd. Juárez, Camargo, Ojinaga, and Meoqui.
Recently, he received support from the Chihuahua en Corto program, with which he directed the short film “Revolutionaries.” His latest short film “Where is The Governor?” was filmed in February of this year with actors Marcos Duarte, Enoc Leaño, and Anna Cepinska.
